First Flight as a certified pilot
Fall
in 1999, I flew very stable California blue sky as a new certified pilot. On the
next day of the date when I passed final practical private pilot check, I joined
West Valley Flying Club located in Palo Alto
Municipal Airport (PAO).
After a easy check ride by club instructor, I rented Cessna 172, my ordinal flying machine.
It was time I have been dreaming from I was teen.
You
can easily tell his nervousness..

Only about 40 minutes ride, the plane reached Monterey. World famous Pebble Beach Golf Course was under my wing. 4
Clear
and stable sky with almost unlimited visibility, clear sea, and beautiful green.
I had no complaint with those scenery.
Getting upset that I hit LOTS in Pebble Beach with payment of more than $300 as a green fee. (Cessna rental fee was only $60 including Gas, by the way, at this time).
There
are many Sea along side this shore.
If timing was good, I could see whole just seashore. (This picture was taken at a 4,500 feet above the sea)
Unforgettable
7th hole at Pebble Beach. I lost three bolls here and 2 in next hole, when last
time I played golf.
Next town was Carmel by the sea. Clint East Wood acted as a mayor here long time ago. Town for artist.
I drove many times here, but view from the sky was completely different.。
Turning got the left to land at Harris Ranch where they serve nice steaks.
Descending to pattern altitude, and ready for landing. Steak restaurant and hotel owns air strip here. No time to restaurant after landing.
Unfortunately
without wine, enjoy ice meal.
On final approach, you can see Harris Ranch on right upper side of left picture. Highway nearby was Route 5.
Prepare for steak!
